Bangkok, Night One
After 20+ hours on a plane, about 9 different nap segments, and 3 airline meals, I made it to the "Land of Smiles" last night around midnight. By the time I made it through customs, located my ride (thanks for hooking it up, sister!), and got to my guest house...it was about 1:30am.
It's morning now. I'm showered, but yet I have a feeling I won't stop sweating all day. They're not kidding when they say it's hot and humid! I'm on to explore for the first time during the daylight. Enjoy the photo of my luxury accomodation from last night at the Green House Guest House (290 baht per night, or roughly 9 US dollars).....

Bet the bed felt good after the extended flight---we are hot here too--overcast so helps--all is well here, looks like a comfortable room, take care. Love mom
Hope you had a good night at the Bangkok Budget Inn......yikes...that bed looks like it's about 4 feet long. Glad to hear you made it there in one piece! I'm guessing it will be about 2 days until you start speaking "Chinglish" - where an English sentence like "Do you know where the airport is?" gets translated to "you - know - where - airport?".
Later bro!
Looks like there should be bars on the window in that place! I like the "king-size bed". Is the pool beyond the door?
Keep your guard up and your hand on your backpack at all times! Saw the forecast and looks like a bit of cooler daytime highs this week. Take care, dfk
Oooh...love those sterile white sheets. 800-count pima cotton?? At least there is a window in your room!? Love ya, Car
