Getting the morning off to a good start with a little Red Bull.
ATM Receipt. See balance, bottom right. Oh, if only the Baht was equal to the dollar.
One of the many images of Buddha seen....
A good sign you are entering a temple.
Ronald even managed to find his way to the popular tourist area of Khao San Rd. Crazy how Westernized this area of the city is....food, music, etc.

Ronald is gracing the door of the American temple. Didn't take you long to find the Red Bull...I TOLD YOU SO!!! Can you see why I was so excited to be on K-San Rd after traveling for 4 months? It was like stumbling upon a western oasis. Got your sarong bought yet? You'll need it for drying off after your cold showers...aren't they refreshing in that heat? Love ya, Car
If you can't find a job when you get back, lets move somewhere cool and start a tuk tuk company. Good to see everything (almost everything) got off to a good start.
Hot here today--feels like your weather -- headed to DSM tomorrow dad's eye apt. and pick-up the car. headed to the airport later tomprrow then fly to Curts' Thursday am. later mom
Cheers all..... I created this page so that those who care (family and friends, ideally) can keep tabs on me as I make my way through Southeast Asia.
It was by way of chats with well-traveled friends and an adventurous sister that this trip came about, so thank you to those who inspired me. Like a good backpacker, I have no clear agenda. Rather, I look forward to an amazing 3-month, fly-by-the-seat-of- my-pants journey that should create some unforgettable memories and new friendships worldwide. Here we go!
